Hepatitis control centres being set up

HAFIZABAD-State of the art hepatitis control and pre-valuation centres are being established in twenty five districts of the province to fight the disease by providing patients with medicines and other facilities.
Provincial Project Director of Hepatitis Control and Pre-Valuation Programme Brig (R) Ghulam Murtaza said that such centres have already been established in 17 districts including Attock, Jhelum, Qasur, Khaniwal, Lodhran and a centre is being started in the Trauma Centre Hafizabad.
The patients would be facilitated to get free diagnose, test and medicine facilities. He said that after Egypt, the ratio of hepatitis patients in Pakistan is high for which the provincial government was taking all out efforts to contain this fatal disease. He further told the DC and others that Chief Minister of the Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif will shortly visit Hafizabad to inaugurate the centre.
