QILA DIDAR SINGH-A woman has turned out to be murderer of her husband. Police said that millionaire Shahid, resident of Daska, was shot dead by unidentified suspects on Mado Khel Road, Ladhewala Warraich at a cold nigh of December, 2017.
Police investigation revealed that Shahid's wife Shafqat alias Gudiya had planned to kill her husband to acquire his wealth. She brought him to her aunt's house in Ladhewala Warraich on the pretext of a party invitation. As both reached Mado Khel Road, Gudiya's accomplices including Ejaz alias Jajji and Haider Shah opened fire on Shahid, killing him on the spot. The investigation officer told The Nation that Ejaz and Haider have fled after cancellation of their pre-arrest bail. "Raids are being conducted for their arrest," he said and added that the court would be requested to cancel Gudiya's pre-arrest on next hearing.
TRAFFIC MESS
People suffer traffic problems due to ongoing development work on Hafizabad Road. Locals told The Nation, the work has been going on for the past several months. They added building material is left on the road which causes traffic mess in the area. They claimed that they have submitted numerous complaints to Ladhewala Warraich Municipal Committee but in vain. They demanded Gujranwala deputy commissioner look into the matter and resolve their problem as soon as possible.
