Peshawar - Positive cases of Covid-19 have increased in the education institutions of Mardan district, sources said.
According to the sources, a total of 890 samples were collected from different education institutions of Takhatbhai, Rustam, Katlang and Mardan of which PCRs of 205 were performed. Covid-19 test of several teachers and students came positive. The test of seven female students, the sources said, including two female teachers of Girls Primary School Labour Colony came positive.
Corona test of six students of seventh and eighth grades besides a teacher also came positive at Government Higher Secondary School Galyara, they added.
The administration has advised the affected staff and students to quarantine at their homes for 14 days and also closed the schools for ten days. According to the sources, an Omicron patient was also confirmed in Mardan district.
