KARACHI (PPI) - Sindh Minister for Health Dr. Sagheer Ahmad rushed to the Emergency Unit, Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) and supervised the treatment of those injured in an accident at Northern Bypass on Saturday. The two passenger buses had collided at Northern Bypass early this morning. About 34 injured have been admitted at the CHK. The minister called extra staff from other government hospitals who provided medical aid to the injured, and later shifted them to operation theaters and wards. MS, CHK, Dr. Saeed Qureshi, In-charge Medical Aid Committee Nasir Baig, Sheikh Mehmood, Jwaid Yameen, Ahsaan Muhammad and Abdul Majis Siddiqui were also present. He inquired every injured and assured that government would bear all expenses of their treatment. He strictly ordered the staff not to ask any affected person to buy medicine from Medical Stores. He said while talking to medial that government is working to ensure quality health to every citizen and will took important steps in this regard. He praised the role of Non-government Social Organizations for providing services to citizens. He said there is a need to establish Trauma Centres at highway to avoid any kind of loss.
