KARACHI - Three provincial ministers have dismissed allegations of Jam Madad Ali, in which the opposition leader, while commenting on the 100-days performance of the government had described it as nothing but total failure. The ministers Senior Minister Pir Mazhar ul Haq, Jam Mehtab Dahar and Ayaz Soomro, at a hurriedly called press conference held at Sindh Assembly building on Saturday countered the allegations by recalling several incidents of law and order, corruption and physical manhandling of judiciary and said that the allegations levelled by the opposition members were nothing but the views of a frustrated individual. Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro recalled the case of kidnapping of three judges who managed to return home only after payment of ransom, and said that present government will hold an inquiry into the case. As regards law and order, particularly in Shikarpur, Sukkur and Khairpur districts, he said that not a single case of kidnapping for ransom was reported during the last 12 days as against one or two kidnappings which used to take place earlier. Referring to price hike, he said it is the result of economic policies of the previous government as well as impact of global food shortage. He described crashing of stock market the result of artificial economy of the previous government. Jam Mehtab Daher said that those responsible for creating mess were seeking explanations from us. He said the present government was confronting with enormous problems inherited from the previous government through short and long-term policies.
