PESHAWAR - NWFP Home Secretary Tipu Mohabbat Khan has said that about 10 militants have so far been killed while the same number of militants has got injured during the ongoing military operation in Hagu district. Addressing a press conference with IG Police Malik Naveed here on Saturday, Tipu Mohabbat Khan said that the military action had become inevitable due to increasing terrorist activities of militants in the area. He said two women were injured due to a mortar shell fired by the militants. He said the government would not allow anyone to take the law in one's hands and strict measures would be taken against terrorists. The NWFP Home Secretary said the militants were involved in kidnapping of people and hampering developmental activities in the district.  He said the provincial govt's agreement with Taliban in Swat was intact and both sides were trying to continue with the peace process. Malik Naveed said the morale of the police force was high and it was doing its utmost to ensure security in the region. Regional Coordination Officer (RCO) Kohat Omar Afridi who was also present on the occasion said the killing of FC personnel compelled the govt to call army there.
