Our Staff reporter ELLAH ABAD - Robbers rampaged through the town, injuring three people on putting up resistance and made off with cash and other valuables worth hundred of thousands of rupees here the other night. As per detail, eight robbers, carrying sophisticated weapons, set up a picket in Tulwandi area near Police Check Post, some 5-km away from Ellah Abad. First they stopped a car and snatched Rs16,000, two cell phones and ATM card from Habib, son of Hakeem Abdullah, a resident of Ellah Abad. The culprits shot at and injured him when he tried to overpower them. The culprits also snatched Rs5000, a cell phone and an ATM card from Manzoor Ahmad, manager of Allied Bank Ellah Abad branch. Similarly, the accused took Rs4000 from M Javed. All the three were ridding in the car. Meanwhile, the bandits snatched Rs1,40,000, two cell phones and press card from a local journalist M Baber, Rs 8000 from M Arshad and Rs200,000 from a local trader. Meanwhile, the robbers intercepted M Nadeen and Waseem and shot at and injured them when they tried to overpower them.
