Shahi for zero tolerance policy against extremists

KARACHI - Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh President Shahi Syed on Tuesday underlined the need for adopting zero tolerance policy against extremist elements. He said that Karachi was in the grip of terrorists, saying that some elements wanted to destroy the peace of Karachi for their vested interest. Shahi claimed that armed groups were sabotaging the initiative of peace in Karachi, saying that worst violence was being witnessed in several areas of the metropolis. He further said that innocent people were killed by terrorists on ethnic basis through a well-planned conspiracy. Commenting over the CCPO Karachis report about the target killing in Karachi, he said that report was amazing in which he claimed that only 2 people were killed in Karachi on ethnic groups out of 102 incidents of target killings in last month. He said that political workers and innocent people belonging to various ethnic communities were killed by the miscreants. He added that indiscriminate action against terrorists and criminals was necessary for the lasting peace.
