No break in Jamrud curfew

KHYBER AGENCY - Curfew remains imposed for the second consecutive day on Saturday in most parts of Jamrud, which has restricted the residents to their homes and multiplied their problems, sources said on Saturday.
They said that security forces imposed curfew for indefinite period in different areas of Jamrud, including Ghundai, Surkamr, Lashora, Saparay, Gudar and Ghriza of the Tehsil. “The forces through announcements asked the local tribal people to remain indoors till further orders,” the sources said.
According to locals, seven houses of suspected militants were demolished while notices were issued to five tribesmen to vacate their houses till tomorrow.
They said that curfew and search operation badly affected the daily routine life and businesses of the tribal people.
Curfew was imposed last when unknown militants attacked a security checkpost at Malik Shaga and killed eight soldiers and wounded four others.
