MULTAN/GUJRANWALA-Boys have finally succeeded to break the hegemony of girls on position table in Secondary School Certificate Examination as they clinched overall first position and shared overall second with a girl in Annual 2016 exam, disclosed Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Multan authorities here on Tuesday.

The BISE Multan declared the names of position holders in Secondary School Certificate Annual Examination 2016 on Tuesday while the detailed result will be announced on Wednesday (today).

Muhammad Saifur Rehman, Roll No-175581, student of a private school, stood overall first with 1085 marks  while another student of the same school Muhammad Huzaifa, Roll  No-173394, and Maryam Shaukat, Roll No-126193, student of a private school of Lodhran, shared overall second position with 1084 marks. The overall third position was shared by two girls namely Areeda Ahmad, Roll No-159220, and Khush Bakht, Roll No-159251. Both of them are students of a private school chain and they got 1083 marks each.

In Science Group (Boys),  the overall first position holder Muhammad Saif ur Rehman, Roll No-175581 stood first with 1085 marks and his schoolmate Muhammad Huzaifa, Roll  No-173394, second while Muhammad Shahzad, Roll No-155592, student of a private school third with 1080 marks.

In Science Group (Girls), the overall second position holder Maryam Shaukat, Roll No-126193, grabbed first position with 1084 marks, the overall third position holders Areeda Ahmad, Roll No-159220, and Khush Bakht, Roll No-159251, second with 1083 marks and Umat Saboor, Roll No-138052, student of a private school of Mailsi, and Maryam Khan, Roll No-161147, also student of a private school of Multan, jointly third with 1081 marks.

In Arts Group (Boys), all the three top positions were clinched by private candidates. Hafiz Tasleem Shah, Roll No208311, got 1045 marks and was declared first while Hafiz Muhammad Abu Bakar, Roll No-223552, second with 1022 marks and Naved Shahzad, Roll No-218843, third with 1016 marks.

In Arts Group (Girls), a private student Fatima, Roll No-2232066, grabbed first position with 1042 marks, Shehr Bano, Roll No-222467, second with 1041 marks and Samia Mujahid, Roll No-222946, third with 1022 marks.

GIRLS, BOYS REMAIN NECK AND NECK

In Gujranwala, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced names of position-holders of Matriculation annual examination here on Tuesday.

According to the result, a total 197350 candidates appeared in examination, out of which 149405 were declared successful with 75.75 pass percentage.

According to result Muhammad Faizan of Science Locus school bagged first position, securing 1079 marks, Rao Abaidur Rehman of Jadid Dastgir Ideal School and Hafiza Amaiza Ehsan of Sialkot Grammer School stood second with 1078 marks each while Mah Rukh of Best school system and Aswa of Jadid Dastgir girls school jointly got third position securing 1077 marks each.

In Science group (boys) Muhammad Faizan got first, Rao Abaidur Rehman stood second and Wasiq Billa Harl of Ghazali Model School Phalia bagged third with 1075 marks.

In Science group (girls), Hafiza Amaiza stood first, Mah Rukh got second and Sundas Tariq of Science foundation school captured third position with 1076 marks.

In Arts group (boys) Muhammad Hamid of Government School Kamoke stood first with 1017 marks, Muhammad Salman of Madrassa Ayub Ansari got second with 1016 marks and Rafaqat Ali of Government High School No-2 bagged third with position with 1013 marks.

In Arts group (girls) Neelam Shahzadi of Billal High School Gujrat captured first position with 1046 marks, Sidra Bano stood second with 1043 marks and Amama Naeem of Science Foundation School bagged third with 1041 marks.
