MIRPUR (AJK)/LAYYAH-The Kashmir observed the Accession to Pakistan Day on Tuesday with renewal of the pledge to continue the freedom struggle, and condemned the Indian forces atrocities in the held valley.

The Kashmiris pledged to achieve their birth right to self-determination and their accession of entire Jammu Kashmir state to Pakistan under the spirit of the historic resolution passed this day in 1947.

It was a state holiday in AJK to observe the day which dawned with special prayers in the mosques for the liberation of all occupied Muslim lands including Indian-Held Kashmir and Palestine, success of the Kashmir freedom struggle and for the rest of the departed souls who laid down their lives for the cause of liberation of the motherland.

Special meetings including seminars and symposiums were held in all 10 district and tehsil headquarters of AJK including in Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Kotli, Bhimbher, Bagh, Rawalakot, Sudhanoti and Neelam valley districts to mark the historic Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan day. The historic resolution passed on July 19, 1947 in a meeting of Kashmiris’ then prime representative organisation - All Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference - at the residence of Kashmiri leader Sardar Ibrahim Khan in Srinagar.

After passing through the streets , the rallies converged into big congregations of masses from all walks of life. Addressing the rallies, speakers strongly condemned the fresh wave of state terrorism by the Indian occupying troops in occupied Kashmir.

They expressed severe concern over the fast deteriorating situation in occupied valley where Indian troops have unleashed the renewed brutalities against the freedom-loving Kashmiris. They urged the international community especially United Nations and global human rights organisations to immediately intervene to get stopped the repeated aggression, barbarism and ruthless firing by Indian forces on the peaceful rallies of Kashmiris protesting against the recent martyrdom of Kashmiri freedom fighter Burhan Muzaffar Wani and two of his associates in occupied valley.

The speakers underlined that bring standing against the Indian forcible rule, people in occupied Kashmir had once again proved that Kashmir was neither an administrative dispute nor an issue of change of governance in the Indian held territory but primarily involved to the wishes and aspirations of the Jammu and Kashmir to decide their future. They said that no solution to the dispute could be arrived without ignoring the Kashmiris, he declared.

Special ceremonies were held in various parts of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and in other parts of the world - where Kashmiris are inhibiting. The speakers reiterated the pledge to continue struggle for strengthening and promoting the ideology of accession of entire Jammu Kashmir state to Pakistan.

The special seminars and symposiums were followed by Accession to Pakistan Day congregations at various places participated by the representative leaders of people of all spheres of life from various parts of the districts.



The Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed here the other day.

The United Cabinet Front organised a rally which was attended by hundreds of people from all walks of life. The rally started from Press Club and after passing to different road, ended at TDA Chowk.

The participants of the rally held banners, inscribed with slogans in favour of freedom for the oppressed Kashmiris. They chanted slogans to show support for Kashmiris and against Indian barbarism and worst violation of human rights.

Addressing the rally, Union Council (UC) Chairman Syed Rafaqat Ali Gillani said that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and no effort would be spare in the struggle for its freedom. They demanded that the UN must take notice of the Indian brutality in Kashmir and get its resolution on Kashmir implemented.
