DUDIAL - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan Tuesday said that there is no danger to democracy from the army but the Kingdom of Nawaz Sharif.

“Pakistani nation is more pro-democracy than Turkey and what there is need for a new leadership in Pakistan,” he declared while addressing a public meeting in Dudial, Azad Kashmir on Tuesday. Mr Khan pointed out that Pakistan was established to make it a model state and without an ideology no nation can survive.

He regretted that whenever the Prime Minister goes abroad, his daughter Maryam Nawaz sits in the Prime Minister House. He claimed that a bomb proof wall has been constructed at Raiwind at a cost of Rs600 million which was the public money. He said the Prime Minister’s son lives in London in a flat worth Rs6500 million and does not pay tax.

He questioned that as what kind of benefits the people of Pakistan accrued from the foreign visits of the Prime Minister.? “After becoming Prime Minister in 1993, Mian Nawaz Sharif set up 28 factories and all the money is being sent abroad by him,” he criticised.

The PTI chairman said that today half of the population of Pakistan cannot afford two time bread and 33 percent of children are malnourished. He said the unemployment has increased and it is time to change the destiny of the nation.

The PTI chief said the party has formed government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the first time and would use its experience gain the KPK in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir after coming into power. He claimed that there is less corruption in KPK but admitted that they could not deliver what they wanted.

Imran Khan alleged that those talking to break the begging bowl have obtained loans to the tune of $6 billion in three years and the country is moving towards destruction.

“Due to rampant corruption, foreign investors are not coming to Pakistan and Pakistani youths are not getting jobs and visas,” he lamented. He said that had the rulers been capable of doing anything for the people, they would have already done it.   He said youth would get jobs when corrupt were made accountable.  He said the PTI would make a system, where no one would escape from accountability.  He said his party did not include Prime Minister’s name in Panama Leaks and he would have to answer that.
