NUML pays homage to Edhi

PR Islamabad - A condolence reference was held at National University of Modern Languages (NUML) yesterday to pay tributes to the great philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi (Late).

The condolence reference was organised by the faculty of management sciences. Rector NUML Major General (Retd) Zia Ud Din Najam, Director General Brig Riaz Ahmed Gondal, registrar, directors, deans, HoDs, faculty members and students were also present on the occasion.

The rector NUML in his message said that Abdul Sattar Edhi will always be remembered in Pakistanis’ hearts as he has become a great source of inspiration for many organisations and individuals who are working in the country for the rights of vulnerable segments of the society.

Sharing his personal experiences the rector said that Edhi was a saint and a true Muslim who spent his whole life to serve others. “Just imagine that what would have been the fate of our society if Edhi would have not been there, the person like him was a great blessing for the country,” the rector said.

Faculty members from faculty of management sciences and faculty of social sciences paid great homage to Edhi for his humanitarian services. A special documentary produced by the mass communication department on Edhi’s life was also shown during the condolence reference.

At the end, prayers were offered for the demised soul.
