4th ODI: Pakistan sets gigantic total of 399 for Zimbabwe

BULAWAYO: Opening batsman Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq's partnership of 304 runs helped Pakistan to put a record-breaking total of 399 against Zimbabwe in the fourth ODI on Friday. 

This was the highest opening partnership in the ODI history, breaking Sri Lanka's Jayasuriya and Tharanga 286 runs partnership against England in 2006.

Fakhar Zaman became the first Pakistani batsman to score a double century in the one-day international match,  he also became the country's highest scorer in an ODI, surpassing Saeed Anwar’s 21-year old record of 194 runs against India in 1997.

In the fourth one-day international match against Zimbabwe, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first.

Pakistan leading the ODI series with 3-0. Pakistan had the opportunity to change the squad but decided to go unchanged for the fourth match.

On the Zimbabwean side, there were two changes with Chamu Chibhabha and Prince Masvaure swapped for seamer Donald Tiripano and top order batsman Tinashe Kamunhukamwe, who will be making his international debut.
