LAHORE - PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday said his party was fighting against two right wing parties that had made the people of Punjab hostage through power politics.
“I have come here alongwith Bhutto’s ideology and BB’s mission to challenge both the right-wing parties here” he told a charged crowd at Thokar Niaz Baig.
Bilawal arrived Lahore quite late in the night after addressing public rallies at Chiniot and Faisalabad districts.
In an obvious reference to the PML-N and the PTI, Bilawal asked the people to support him to build a progressive and bright Pakistan by rejecting the two right wing parties.
“I have brought with me the revolutionary thought of my grand-father and my mother’s people-friendly manifesto”, he said, adding, that he did not believe in doing the politics of hurling abuses on the political opponents.
“Only those indulge in such politics who don’t have an ideology”, he said and added that he had entered the political arena with an ideology.
Addressing another rally at Kahna, a small town falling in the constituency of Samina Khalid Ghurki, Bilawal said that today’s mammoth rally was a message for those who thought they will occupy Pakistan with the help of Taliban.
He said that his party would initiate programmes for poverty alleviation after coming into power. He said that it was his first election campaign and he had reached out to the masses with a manifesto which promised their welfare.
Bilawal set off for Kasur from Kahna after mid-night to address yet another rally in Kasur scheduled to be held at 2 am.
