Lahore - Advocate Taffazal H Rizvi has moved an application before the full bench of Lahore High Court requesting to dismiss three identical petitions challenging Asif Zardaris holding dual office of PPP co-chairman as well as president of Pakistan. Taffazal H Rizvi moved this application on behalf of the federation of Pakistan. The counsel stated that on these petitions a full bench had not yet decided whether these are maintainable or not but had invited the counsels to advance arguments on the main contention. He stated that without deciding the question of maintainability the proceedings on these petitions could not be held. The petitions are moved on behalf of Pakistan Lawyers Forum through Advocate A K Dogar, Engineer Ghulam Jilani and advocate Asif Mahmood Khan. A full bench comprising Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Justice Iftikhar Hussain, Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman and Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan is hearing these petitions. 'Blood donation camps to be set-up on BBs birthday Provincial Minister for Finance, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira has said that blood donation camps will be set-up throughout Punjab on the eve of the birthday of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on June 21 next where party workers, leaders and provincial ministers will donate blood to pay tribute to their slain leader. While talking to various delegations of PPP, at his office on Saturday, the Minister said that the birthday of Shaheed Bibi would be observed with zeal and candle lights would be burnt in the sweet memories of Bibi. He said that during ceremonies cakes would be sliced while arrangements for blood camps have been completed. The Minister said that Shaheed Bibi was the voice of the poor and she wanted to eradicate terrorism from the country and she sacrificed her life for this purpose. The Minister said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was the only Pakistani leader who had respect at international level. He said that the struggle for the poor, the mission of Benazir Bhutto would be fulfilled at every cost. He said that anti-democratic forces martyred our leader and this was a conspiracy against democracy, country and the people of Pakistan. He said that the elements talking about the clash of institutions are not the well-wisher of Pakistan. He said there would be no clash of institutions and every institution would work within its limit.
