ISLAMABAD (APP) - The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has donated a road-marking machine to Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) so that it could improve the marking of road lanes in Islamabad for facilitation of road users. The machine was handed over to the traffic police at a ceremony by Zahid Maqbool, President ICCI here on Saturday. Muzzamil Sabri, Chairman, ICCI Police Liaison Sub-Committee and others were present on the occasion. Dr. Moeen Masood, Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic Division, Islamabad highly appreciated ICCIs positive role in community development efforts. He said ICCI has set a good benchmark for other organisations to contribute their share for promoting the safety and welfare of people. He said proper observance of lane discipline is the key for controlling accidents and promoting disciplined driving. He greatly lauded the effort of businessmen for helping ITP to do this job for the safety of people. Speaking on the occasion, Zahid Maqbool, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) that along with serving the interests of business community, ICCI is also taking active part in promoting social welfare activities. He urged upon the CDA to install signboards at proper places to guide the road users. He hoped that donation of road marking machine will help in educating people to properly observe lane discipline and avoid accidents.
