KARACHI – The continued bloodbath in the metropolis on Tuesday claimed six more lives.Police found a gunny bag body of a man from Coconut Ground located in Block 15, FB Area within the limits of Jauharabad police station.The deceased identified as 35-year-old Shahid Memon was the resident of Hussainabad. Police official said the victim went missing from Monday.His hands and legs were tied with ropes and his mouth had also been stuffed with shopping bags. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medicolegal formalities, where doctors said victim died due to suffocation without any kind of torture. The deceased was the father of two children and was working in a general store. Police said that the motive of the murder was yet to be ascertained. Later police handed over the body to the heirs. Police registered an FIR No 151/12 against unidentified men on the complaint of victim’s father.Separately, a truck driver was shot dead in an armed attack in Madiha Stop North Karachi in the limits of Khwaja Ajmair Nagri police station. Police said that victim 32-year-old Abdul Sattar Khan was driving a truck (JU-1270), when unidentified armed motorcyclists came and opened fire on him. Resultantly he died on the spot and his body was shifted to ASH for legal formalities and later handed over to his family. Police official said the victim was the resident of North Karachi.In another incident, police found a gunny bag shot dead body of a man from Shah Faisal embankment in Korangi Industrial Area police precincts. The identity of the victim is yet to be ascertained. SHO Malik Ayub said the victim’s hands and legs were tied with ropes and he received a bullet in his head. He said that unidentified men kidnapped him from unknown place and after murder threw his body. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for postmortem.Officer said victim appeared to be Pakhtoon and police did not found any sort of identical stuff.Later police moved his body to morgue for identification and registered case against unidentified assailants.Similarly, in another incident police found a torture marked body of teenage boy near from Star Ground in the limits of Qauidabad police station. The identity of the victim was yet to be ascertained while he was being tortured before throwing into the said place.Culprits slaughtered him with the help of a sharp edged weapon. The body was shifted to JPMC and later moved to morgue for identification.Separately a teenage boy was shot dead in Future Colony, Landhi in the jurisdiction of Sharafi Goth police station. The victim 19-year-old Saleem was the resident of Mansehra Colony Landhi.The deceased reached Future Colony where unidentified men targeted him. He died on the spot. The body was shifted to JPMC for legal formalities. Duty Officer ASI Akbar said that victim’s uncle Fazal was killed among three people few weeks back in a clash. Later police handed over his body to his heirs. No case was registered till the filing of the report.A man was shot dead while other injured during a clash in Bhains Colony in the jurisdiction of Sukkhan police station. According to the police accused Adnan reached Abdul Hameed’s home and after exchanging hot words he opened fire. Resultantly 32-year-old Abdul Hameed and his cousin Abrar, 28, received bullet injuries.Adnan also received bullet injuries during exchange of fire and rushed to hospital among other victims of firing. After getting the information police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to JPMC where during treatment, Abrar succumbed to injuries. Police said Abdul Hameed had got freewill marriage with Adnan’n sister few months ago which was the bone of contention between the families.Police said Adnan reached his sister’s home to resolve the issue when aggressive attitude of both the parties made the meeting violent.
