KARACHI – About 350 key business professionals were hosted by CIMA for an evening of intellectual engagement on the theme ‘Performing to Potential: Pakistan as nation’ which was a first of its kind, says a press release. The participants of the event debated the key challenges faced by the Pakistani economy.The panel included Asad Umar the Senior Vice President of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf party, Ms. Sharmila Farooqui Sitara-e-Imtiaz from Pakistan Peoples Party, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh the President of Qaiser group of companies and Ex-President of Karachi Chambers of Commerce and business professional and war time Director Economic Affairs of the Government Peace Secretariat, Rohantha Athukorala. Mr. Rohantha shared some shared the Sri Lanka experience on the role of the private sector in the national resilience and the benefits of conflict resolution and peace dividends.
