ISLAMABAD  - Owing to slackness of Islamabad Capital Territory Administration, the development work in the sector G-14 sector could not be started and allotees have appealed to Chief Justice Islamabad High Court to take stern action against officers backing land mafia.

Allotees Action Group talking to INP complained that housing foundation had launched sector G-14 for government employees some eight years back but development work could not be initiated so far. Action Group said that land acquisition collector did not make payment to the affectees after stay order first by civil judge and later IHC.

They said that Land mafia was pressurizing these officials to put their names in affectees list so that they could get huge money from the national exchequer. Affectees said that IHC had asked the land requisition collector to submit a report within one week, which was submitted after deliberate delay to affect the process of payment.

On the other hand, Minister for Housing and Works Faisal Salah Hayat has informed Prime Minister that some officers of the capital administration were backing land mafia and posing hurdles in payment to genuine affectees.

On the other hand the allotees of the sector G-14 have appealed prime minister to take notice of unnecessary hurdles by the Islamabad administration and ensure early initiation of development work.
