ISLAMABAD – The Indian Handicapped cricket team completed the whitewash 3-0 with 83 runs win against Pakistan in the final One-day here at Shalimar Cricket Ground on Tuesday.

India scored 213/7 runs despite losing three quick wickets in first 5 overs. Abdul Khalik keep India on track with superb 72 studied with 7 boundaries and 2 sixes while Iqbal Khan scored unbeaten 46 runs and Ravi Patel scored 43 with three fours in allotted 30 overs as the match was reduced because of scorching heat. Pakistan made 6 changes for the last match and started their reply in a whirlwind fashion and raced to 81 in 6 overs without losing any wicket.

Things suddenly changed as Pakistan lost their opener Juniad Khan for 41 studied with 7 fours and 2 sixes at 81. Thus drama started and Pakistan kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and their last hope stand-in skipper Adeel Khan also got out after scoring 30 runs including 5 boundaries and one six.

Adeel departure proved the final nail in Pakistan’s batting coffin as the entire team was bowled out for 130 runs in 21.4 overs. Last match bowling hero Utpal Majumdar once again was the pick of the bowlers by claiming 4/11, while Sarang got 3 for 28 and Rajesh 2 for 12. Zamurd Khan Chairman Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal was the chief guest while Syed Mustafain Kazmi, Pakistan Cricket Association for Physically Handicapped Chairman Abbas Hashmi, PCAPH Sports Committee chairman, VC Raja Nasir and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

Zamurd Khan announced that Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal will sponsor Pakistan Handicapped team tour to India and gave 100 wheel chairs for Indian special persons. Iqbal Khan was named man of the match, he received trophy and cash award Rs 5000, Ravi Patel was named best batsman of the series from India and got cash prize of Rs 10,000 and trophy while Junaid Khan was named best batsman of the series from Pakistan side he also got Rs 10,000 cash and trophy.
