NOWSHERA VIRKAN - Long-hour power outages have paralysed the local economic and social life and the loadshedding of up to almost 23 hours has made consumers life miserable. Enraged protestors have planned to attack on Wapda office on Wednesday to register their protest. Earlier they have burnt office building, records and motorcycles.
Thousands of people including traders, shopkeepers, women and children protested against power outages in the city while people from villages also took active part in the protests. However, the police resorted to tear gas to disperse angry mob. The last protest was the biggest ever protest in the history of city as they burnt tyres and block roads.
Many of them injured badly. They also protested against levy of fuel adjustment charges. The protestors warned that if power not supplied properly they will repeat it with more strengthen.
