KARACHI - The 28th batch of student volunteer service programme of Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation’s Department for Resource Generation & Outreach is starting on June 23, whereas the next batch will start on June 30.An official of the SIUT said that the module of this programme was specially structured to create awareness amongst the participating students about causes, precautions and prevention of different diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney failure, hepatitis, dialysis, transplant and cancer. This course also includes life saving first-aid training for emergency. This programme focuses on instilling the value of compassion and empathy in the new generation to foster a sense of humanity, breaking the ice to help out the patients, and dedicating some of their time for human altruism which is a big need of the society.”
