LAHORE – Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran on Tuesday said that education was only way for respectful survival in the comity of nations. He said students should honour each other and should be disciplined besides paying their full attention to their studies.
Dr Kamran was addressing the students at a Nazariati Summer School (NSS) being held under the aegis of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) and Tehrik-e-Pakistan Workers Trust at Awain-e-Karkunan-e-Tehrik-e-Pakistan.
On the occasion, NPT Vice-Chairman Prof Dr Rafiq Ahmed, Dr MA Soofi, NPT secretary Shahid Rasheed and others were also present.
The NSS is being organised for the children of age group six to thirteen with the motto of ‘Love Pakistan’ wherein the children were being ideology of Pakistan and extra curricular activities.
On the occasion, PU VC said congratulated Editor in Chief TheNation and Chairman NPT Majid Nizami and his companions for holding the NSS. He said education was the only way to get rid of current problems facing by the country. He said our religion stressed upon us to get knowledge. He said government was not spending satisfactory budget on education sector. He urged the rulers to realise that only an educated nation could be powerful.
Earlier, former PU VC Dr Rafiq Ahmed welcomed Dr Mujahid Kamran. He said the NSS was the only programme of its type across the country. He said this programme was aimed at to train the innocent children, build their personality and to inform them about bright past of our forefathers.
