NOOR PUR THAL - The Punjab government is committed to make the process of economic development more effective by taking on board the women for national development and for this purpose hefty amount of Rs14 billion has been earmarked in the provincial budget for 2012-13.

This was stated by Social Welfare Deputy District Malik Imtiaz Ahmad Manghat while addressing a meeting at his office here on Tuesday.

Members of different social welfare organizations from were also present on the occasion.

He further said that the Social Welfare Officers should work for the betterment of deprived segments of the society.

On the occasion, social workers Noor Din, Naveed Khan and others briefed the Social Welfare DDO about the problems of women of far-flung areas of Thal.
