Shuffling in bureaucracy at federal level imperative: Zafar

Caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting and Law Affairs Barrister Ali Zafar Tuesday said shuffling in bureaucracy at the federal level was imperative.

The work in that regard was in progress as the matter was being discussed with the Election Commission of Pakistan, he said while talking to private news channels.

The process to reshuffle bureaucracy was very difficult and time consuming, he said.

Commenting on PTI chief Imran Khan’s letter regarding shuffling of bureaucrats in the provinces, he said that it was the domain of chief ministers. The federal government had no role play in that regard, he added.

“We will have discussion with the ECP on the matter of Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, “ he said.

As far as the affairs of Federally Administered Tribal Areas were concerned, he said the focus of interim government was to ensure transparent elections in the country.

To a question, he said the projects of Rekodiq and Karkey were very important and investigations about them were continuing and their inquiry reports would be made public after completion.
