KARACHI United Bank posted big total in their first innings after Muhammad Ayub hammered a 121 on the first day of the three-day match against Pak Steel here Friday at their own ground. In the allotted quota of 83 overs, United Bank sent in had scored 368 for nine. At the draw of stumps, Pak Steel had scored 21 for no loss in five overs. Muhammad Ayub stayed at the wicket for 256 minuets and in 195 ball innings, he hit 18 fours. For sixth-wicket stand with Itemadul Haq, he added 139 runs. UBL made good use of the opportunity when the opposing captain Nadeem Abbasi asked them to bat first. Though they lost two quick wickets yet later on, they scored at brisk rate. Opener Naveed Khan scored 49. Itimadul Haq contributed 78 and Muhammad Irshad 37. Saquib Hussain took three for 76. Salman Fazal took two for 69.
