FAISALABAD - The Grid Station Construction (GSC) office is the backbone of distribution system of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco), said CEO Tariq Mehmood Chattha.

He was addressing an inaugural ceremony of GSC office constructed in 132-KV University Grid Station here Monday. He said the strong and robust grid station can give positive results on the overall development of the company as the new building of GSC Directorate is a beautiful addition to the infrastructure of this DISCO. Earlier, Chief Engineer/Project Director Taufiq Akbar Azad said that the construction of GSC office is part of 6th STG programme. It has been completed within record period of 325 days and it covers 17,200 square feet area.

He said that entire staff of GSC would be placed under one roof and this step would help in expediting the work of GSC. He maintained that the GSC was also executing deposit work of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) with an estimated cost of Rs250 million. He also enumerated the excellent services rendered by retiring chief engineer Sheikh Muhammad Ashraf and Sheikh Akhtar Hussain and said that the company would try its best to follow their foot prints. Taufiq Akbar also mentioned the shortage if staff in GSC which was also hindrance the overall performance of GSC. The CEO, taking immediate notice of this situation, ordered to cancel the transfer orders of GSC employees to other departments. He directed that comprehensive report should be submitted so that additional furniture and fixture could be provided at early days.
