NH&MP seminar on road discipline


LAHORE – The National Highways and Motorway Police on Monday arranged a special seminar and walk on Road Discipline and Pakistan at Sheikhupura.
Addressing the seminar, the IG NH&MP said besides many precious lives Pakistan suffered more than 100 million monitory losses in traffic accidents and Motorway Police was committed to reducing accident ratio to lowest level by maintaining better discipline on roads through briefing, education and constructive enforcement.
The main purpose of the event was to enlighten the sense of traffic discipline, road safety and observance of traffic rules and regulations in public especially the younger generation.
A renowned poet and writer Farhat Abbas Shah, Sohail Waraich, Inspector General NH&MP Wajid Ali Durrani, DIG Shahid Yar Khan, Jahanzeb Khan Jogezai, Nisar Ahmed Saroya, students of different schools and colleges, workers of several organisations, NGOs and Pakistan Bikers Association participated in the walk.
Later, during the seminar children delivered speeches and presented tableaus. During his welcome speech, Sector Commander, Nisar Ahmed Saroya greeted the participants and enlightened different aspects and the necessity of conducting such seminars.
Earlier, a passing out ceremony of 4th Basic Recruit Course also held at NH&MP Training College, Sheikhupura. Total 151 male Junior Patrol Officers and 28 female passed out the Basic Recruit Course.
