ISLAMABAD - Reference to a news item published in a section of press on 19th March, 2012 it is clarified that OGDCL has made investment of Rs 60 million in various corporate social responsibilities projects at Dakhni Oil Field including Installation of water pipeline to village Bella and Ziarat of Rs 27 million and construction of Road from Chowk Shaheedan to Jand 4.43 km with the cost of Rs 9.822m, says a press release.
The other CSR schemes of the area include construction of rooms for various schools and roads with the cost of Rs 23.178 million in the area.

There are several recurring expenditures for benefits of locals which includes free medicines through public welfare dispensary, provision of drinking water costing to Rs 2 million per month.
OGDCL has been providing jobs to the locals and well aware of its responsibility for health, safety and environment services.
OGDCL also conduct free eye camp for surrounding population every year. This year OGDCL conducted a free eye camp under CSR activities from 22nd to 24th November, 2011 at Dakhni Oil Field where total 2,264 patients were examined, 300 operations were conducted, 79 foldable lenses provided and vision glasses were also provided to 547 patients, with the cost of Rs 1 million.
