ISLAMABAD  – Assistant Commissioner (Secretariat) Islamabad, Nouman Yousaf conducted surprise checking in the area of Ali Pur Frash and imposed fine amounting Rs 9750 on the profiteers for over-charging on food items and not displaying rate lists.
He also issued on-the-spot warnings to the profiteers to display the rate list of the food items and ensure the availability of food items at the control rates failing which heavy fines would be imposed.
 He said that the price checking drive has been launched in the rural areas on the complaints of the consumers.
He also said that administration is issuing rate list of fruit and vegetables on daily basis and it would be ensured that the rate list of food items is implemented in letter and spirit.
