LAHORE - Ikebana Demonstration and certificate presentation ceremony was held at the Alhamra Hall here on Monday. The Embassy of Japan organised the flower arrangement workshop in collaboration with the Lahore Arts Council and Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association.

College of Arts & Design, University of Punjab Principal Rahat Masood, was the chief guest on the occasion. President, Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association Lahore and Honorary Consul General for Japan at Lahore Mr. Aamir H. Shirazi, and Counsellor Public Affairs Section, Embassy of Japan Mr Toshikazu Isomura, together with the chief guest awarded certificates to the participants at the concluding ceremony.

An exhibition of the Ikebana created by the 30 participants of the workshop was also displayed at the gallery. Professor of Ikebana Mrs. Asifa Ataka, who has studied the art from the Ikenobo School, schools in Japan was specially invited from Karachi to attend the workshop.
