Campaign to deweaponise Islamabad on

ISLAMABAD - Following the directions of the interior ministry, Islamabad police Wednesday launched campaign to deweaponise the federal capital.
According to details, a CIA police team after obtaining search warrants from Islamabad district courts raided a house at village Tarlai Gohra Sardar and recovered arms and ammunition including two Kalashnikovs, two 44-bore guns, one 222-bore gun, 11 repeater guns, one 7-mm gun, one 12-bore gun, one single bar pistol, and four 30-bore pistols along with other ammunition. "Islamabad Capital Territory Police are on a campaign to deweaponise the federal capital. Police have been directed to conduct raids on suspected places in their respective jurisdictions to recover illegal arms," a spokesperson of ICT police told The Nation on Wednesday. When asked, he confirmed that CIA recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition and arrested the accused.
