LAHORE  - Under a major development, NESPAK, the premier engineering consultancy firm in the public sector, has been awarded the Flood Protection Dam Project in Al Jufainah Muscat, Sultanate of Oman by the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources.

According to the NESPAK spokesman, the dam is being built to store water with an effort to ward off the threat of floods. The duration of the project is 31 months. NESPAK will provide design review and construction supervision services for the project costing Rs. 170 million. The project consists of a major dam, five saddle dams, one lateral dam and spillways. NESPAK has made a major contribution to the development of infrastructural facilities, environmental and public health engineering as well as water resources development in the Sultanate.

The securing of the dam project shows NESPAK’s capability of operating internationally and remaining consistent with its policy of expanding business overseas. Good management practices and high technical expertise have made NESPAK to flourish overseas, especially in the last few years.
