Alman vows to win more feats in next polo season

Lahore - Alman Jalil Azam, who won the best player award in the handicap category of 0-2, has vowed to work harder to win more feats in polo.

Alman, who is Director of Newage Cables and Chemicals, said: “I belong to a family, which is passionate about this game. My father and uncle have great love for this game while my brother Adnan Jalil Azam also a good polo player so that’s why this game is in blood. I am working very hard on my game and keen to earn more and more achievement this sport, which is the game of kings and knights.”

Praising the Lahore Polo Club (LPC), Alman said that the club is a production house of quality polo players, who not only represent their club in polo season of the club but also serve the country at international events,” he added.

Meanwhile, 15-year-old Raja Mikael Sami won the best player award in the -2 to 0 category, Bilal Haye in 2 to 4 category, Hamza Mawaz Khan won the most valuable player award, Juan Maria Ruiz Tito the best international player, Mutafa Aziz best talent hunt player award. The best foreign pony award was won by Sali owned by Farooq Amin Sufi while the best local breed pony award went to Machine owned by Raja Arslan Najeeb and Major Javed Mawaz was awarded life time achievement award for his great services for Pakistan polo.
