Lahore and Karachi all set for PSL matches

As Lahore prepares to host the first of the two playoffs of the Pakistan Super League, cricket fever is running high across the country.

Seventeen foreign players from six different countries and seven-member coaching staff reached Lahore in the wee hours of Tuesday to participate in the two eliminators of the third edition of PSL 3.

With the matches scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday in Lahore, administrative and security arrangements have also been completed.

Renovation work was done at both the stadiums in Karachi and Lahore. Cricket fans also thronged to buy tickets of all three matches in both the cities as soon as sales began last week.

Law Minister Punjab Rana Sanaullah Khan Monday said strict security measures had been adopted for the third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches being played in Lahore on March 20 and 21.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the law and order was very much under control and that fool-proof arrangements were being made for the PSL final match which is scheduled for Sunday.

The matches are being considered as part of a series to ensure the return of cricket in Pakistani stadiums.
