ISLAMABAD - A parliamentary board meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will be held next week to finalise party tickets for Punjab in the first phase ahead of the upcoming general election.

PTI chief Imran Khan will chair the parliamentary board meeting of Punjab at his Bani Gala residence on March 25. The PTI has already formed four parliamentary boards separately for Punjab, Sindh, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan to finalize party tickets for the next general election. An office-bearer of PTI central secretariat said the Punjab chapter parliamentary board would approve tickets for those constituencies for which candidates had already been finalised through discussions within the party.

“For some constituencies, there is no ambiguity within the PTI with regard to awarding tickets to candidates and we have already finalised their names,” he said. All regional presidents of PTI Punjab chapter including president central Punjab Aleem Khan, president south Punjab Ishaq Khaqwani, president north Punjab Amir Kayani, president west Punjab Rai Hasan Nawaz will attend the meeting.

 Senator Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar will also participate in the meeting as a board member.

Three PTI leaders, Vice-Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Jehangir Khan Tareen and Asad Umar are permanent members of all the parliamentary boards of the party headed by Khan.
