ISLAMABAD - Refresher courses of athletics, volleyball and Wushu concluded Tuesday at Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Coaching Centre Quetta in which 37 persons participated in the 5-day course. Director General PSB graced the closing ceremony as chief guest to distribute the certificates among the participants. Speaking at this occasion, Director General PSB highlighted the importance these courses. He said that the main objectives of organising these courses were to up date the knowledge of domestic coaches, physical education teachers and sportspersons so that they might learn the technical know how latest methodology of coaching and systematically developed their athletes on proper lines. "We understand that Balochistan is full of talent but they are not provided coaching and training, which may groom them for national and international competitions," he added. DG PSB further said that PSB was also creating facilities in the various cities of Balochistan to develop the international standard infrastructures. "At present nine developmental projects are in progress at different region of Balochistan," he said. Naseem Lehri, Commissioner, Quetta, Muhammad Afzal Awan, Secretary, Balochistan Olympic Association, Brig. Saleem Mehmood, Director, ANF, Quetta and Syed Abrar Hussain Shah, Director, PSB Coaching Centre, Quetta. They all appreciated efforts of the PSB for conducting the course in Athletics, Volleyball and Wushu at Quetta. Dr. Abdul Waheed Mughal, Syed Habib Shah, Mr. Pervaiz Hussain Mughal from PSB delivered the lecturers. Syed Abrar Hussain Shah, Former Olympian, SI (Civil) Asian Gold Medalist was the host of five days course. The detail of nine projects is as under: Hockey Turf at Sibi (37 millions), Sports Hall at Mustung (34 millions), Up gradation of Noraiz Football Stadium and Players Hostel and Mustung (34 millions), Construction of Sports Stadium Loralai (37 millions), Construction of Sports Stadium at Zhob (35 millions), Up gradation of Football Stadium at Qila Saifullah (23 millions), Up gradation of Football Stadium and players hostel at Chaman (37 millions), Up gradation of Jamal Abdul Nasir Shaheed Stadium and players hostel (37 millions) and Construction of Multi-Purpose Gymnasium at Quetta (70 millions).
