It is usually a police practice that they arrest everyone and anyone, who has been named in the FIR, without having any sufficient proof against them. It has also been a common practice for the police to take the relatives of friends of the accused into custody, without any charges. This is a gross human rights violation, which cannot be justified. The police officials should discourage the practice of arresting individuals on the grounds of suspicion alone.
