At least nine persons including four women and two minor girls were killed and nine others injured in separate incidents of violence, enmity and mishaps over the past 24 hours.

According to detail, in Toba Tek Singh a youth killed his two real sisters over a domestic dispute here in Gojra area on Sunday.

According to the Gojra Police, Abbas and his sisters exchanged harsh words over some domestic issue at which he pulled out a revolver and fired gunshots on his sisters. Resultantly they sustained critical and were rushed to hospital but both Shahbana and Chanda succumbed to their wounds. The police have registered a case and were raiding to arrest the accused. In another incident a married woman committed suicide in Changar Mohalla at here on Sunday. Deceased Farzana, wife of Usman had a dispute with her in-laws over which she took poison. She was shifted to DHQ hospital where she died.

Similarly in GUJRANWALA, a couple and their minor daughter were killed and two others injured when roof of their house collapsed here in Bilal Town near Pindi Bypass here on Sunday.

According to Rescue 1122 sources, five members of a family including father namely Shahbaz, his wife, two children and a brother were living in a newly-constructed house which all of sudden caved in. As a result, Shahbaz and his wife died on the spot while their six-year-old daughter succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. However, Shahbaz’s brother Irfan and his daughter namely Iqra were shifted to hospital where they were stated to be in critical condition.

In another incident a man was killed and another injured in a road accident near here on Sunday.

Police said that Akbar Ali, Abdul Waheed and Muhammad Imran were on the way to Liaquatpur on a motorcycle when a tractor-trolley hit it near Fatahpur Kamal.

Resultantly, Akbar Ali died on the spot while Imran received injuries.

In HAFIZABAD, a car dealer of Gujranwala Road was poisoned to death by unknown accused who after committing the offence thrown his dead body on Defence Road here last night.

According to police source, the dead body of Rana Dilshad alias Gulloo resident of Mohallah Islampura, who runs his car dealing business on Gujranwala Road, was spotted by some people lying on the Defence Road who reported the police which removed the dead body to the city morgue for autopsy.

The motive of the offence could not be ascertained. However, the police have registered a case against unknown accused and started investigation.

Meanwhile, a girl was killed while five others were seriously injured in a collision between two motorcycles at Pull Mauj Darya in Chahliek Police limits in Multan.

According to Rescue 1122, Fayaz was going on a motorcycle along with his wife and three daughters when it collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

As a result, his daughter Sapna died on the spot while Fayaz, his wife Parveen and another daughter sustained serious injuries. Ahmad and his brother Madni, who were riding the other motorcycle also sustained injuries.

Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to Nishtar Hospital.
