LAHORE - Pasban staged a demonstration against Geo TV for airing blasphemous content in its morning show Utho Jago Pakistan here in front of Lahore Press Club.
The protesters led by Pasban President Rao Tariq Kamalvi were holding placards and banners inscribed with demands of banning Geo TV.
Tariq Kamlavi said that they support freedom of speech but the TV channels, who were making mockery of Islamic principals, should be banned. He said the nation would not tolerate such blasphemous programmes. He said Pasban strongly condemned the shameful programmes.  He also said that Geo TV had leveled baseless allegations against Pakistan Army. He said they were with the Pak Army and condemned the Geo TV in this regard. He said if the government did not ban such shameful programmes, they would launch protest movement.
