MIRPUR (AJK) - PTI chief Imran Khan yesterday announced to net all corrupt elements through a strong indigenous accountability system to be introduced in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on his party’s coming to power.

“After the Panama leaks, the doors of investigations are also open to a massive corruption probe in Azad Jammu and Kashmir,” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said, while addressing an election rally in Bhimbher in connection with his party’s campaign for the AJK general elections to be held in July this year.

Imran Khan said the people of AJK would get rid of corrupt government, malpractice and bad governance soon. He called for immediate grant of right to self-determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to enable them to decide their fate according to their own wishes and aspirations.

Khan continued that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have awoken. He said time has come for Kashmiris to get their birth right of self-determination to decide their future under the spirit of the global norms and commitments in line with the UN resolutions. The PTI chief invited the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to support his party to enable it to win the forthcoming AJK Legislative Assembly elections and form its government under the leadership of Barrister Sultan Mahmood for turning the liberated territory into a new Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Khan announced that on coming to power his party would introduce a strong and stringent system of accountability in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to net all corrupt elements without any discrimination. Imran announced each and every corrupt person would have to face the proposed stringent accountability system in AJK.

Jehangir Tareen, AJK chapter chief Barrister Sultan Mahmood, Chief Organiser Zafar Anwar, Secretary General Deewan Ghulam Muhyuddin and other PTI leaders also addressed the rally.
