LAHORE - At least four people were murdered in separate parts of the City during Eid holidays (November 17, 18), police and rescue workers said on Friday. According to the police, a milkman was gunned down over a minor issue in Lower Mall police vicinity on Thursday. Kamran Shahzad, father of a baby boy, was sitting at his milk shop situated at Mohni Road when he exchanged harsh words with a local resident Waqas over monetary dispute. The complainant Malik Imran told the police that Waqas had bought milk from his brother Kamran but did not pay the amount. They exchanged harsh words and quarrelled but the local residents intervened and managed to reconcile the issue. Later, Kamran Shahzad went to the residence of Waqas and demanded the amount where they again exchanged harsh words. Waqas got infuriated, took out gun and opened fire. The milkman sustained bullet wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The killer managed to escaped from the scene. The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating with no arrest made so far. The police have also registered the case on the complaint of Imran Malik, brother of the deceased. In another incident, unidentified motorcyclists gunned down a car-rider in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area and fled away from the scene. The police said that the man identified as Dr Nauman Yousaf was on his way to local market when two motorcyclists intercepted him. They shot him dead and managed to escape from the scene. Police sources revealed that unidentified robbers gunned down Dr Nauman upon offering resistance during road robbery attempt. The police have registered a case against unidentified killers and are investigating. The body has been removed to the morgue for autopsy. In the third incident, a 55-year-old security guard was tortured to death here at Jail Road in Civil Lines police precincts. The police said that unidentified men stabbed and clubbed Muhammad Irshad, a resident of Mansehra, while he was on security duty outside cars showroom and fled away. The security guard was rushed to a nearby hospital but died in the way. The police have registered the murder case against unidentified killer and are investigating with no arrest made so far. Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man was clubbed to death by his opponents in Rangeel Village in Manga Mandi police precincts. The police said that Khalil and Mazhar along with their three accomplices attacked Muhammad Iqbal and clubbed him to death. The killers managed to escape from the scene. Police shifted the body to the morgue for autopsy. Police said that the killers had old enmity with the deceased. The police have also registered the case against Mazhar and his accomplices. Further investigations were underway.
