LAHORE Almost ten thousand visitors on the third day of Eidul Azha thronged the Lahore Wildlife and Safari Park for recreation, TheNation learnt on Friday. As per details, management of the Safari Park completed its arrangements two days before the Eid. Deputy Director Safari Park Riaz Ahmad told this scribe that about 70 guards performed their duties on the Eid days to provide hassle-free environment to the visitors in the park. Expatiating on the ticketing system and rates, he said park management was charging Rs 100 on the entry of a car, Rs 20 on bike, Rs 200 on van and Rs 250 on coaster and buss entry. Boating in lake has been started first time in the Park on the eve of Eid as contract of boating is given to a party for three years and they are charging Rs 50 on the paddle-boat and Rs 200 on the motor boat, Riaz added. He elaborated that on the first day of Eid 2,000 people visited the park, on the second day about 6,500 visitors and on the third day a great rush of 10,000 people was witnessed in the park. The management of the park collected Rs 40,000, Rs 0.2 million and Rs 0.34 million as revenue on the first, second and third day of Eid respectively, Riaz added. He further said that no untoward incident had occurred in the park during the Eid days.
