LAHORE Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said the courage and steadfastness displayed by the flood affectees in the face of the natural calamity has proved that Pakistanis are a living nation and can counter any challenge. Addressing the flood affec-tees after offering Eidul Azha prayers with them at village Khair Muhammad Jhak in Bhong, the CM said that distribution of free seeds and fertilizers to the flood-hit farmers having up to 12.5 acres land had been started. He said the farmers should work hard so that a record production of wheat could be achieved in the affected areas. The CM further said due to onset of winter, free distribution of warm clothes and quilts among the flood affectees had also been started and he would continue to share their sufferings and joys. He said 1200 animals had been sacrificed with the cooperation of Turkey and their meat had been distributed among the calamity-stricken people.
