OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with regard to cooperation was signed between Children Hospital Lahore and Royal Marsden Hospital England, here Saturday. Chairperson Children Cancer and Leukemia Group UK Dr. Mary Taj and Medical Director Children Hospital Lahore Prof. Ahsan Waheed Rathore signed the MoU. Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, MPA Dr. Saeed Elahi, Dr. Asad Ashraf, Kh. Salman Rafiq, Secretary Health, Professors, Doctors and faculty members were also present on this occasion. Speaking on this occasion, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the agreement of cooperation made between Children Hospital Lahore and Royal Marsden Hospital England is a milestone through which medical experts will benefit from each others experiences and best treatment facilities would be available to the children suffering from fatal disease of cancer. He said that the close cooperation between two hospitals will also help reduce the mortality rate in children. Addressing on the occasion Prof. Ahsan Waheed Rathore said that free treatment facilities are being provided to the children suffering from cancer in Children Hospital. Chairperson Children Cancer and Leukaemia Group UK Dr. Mary Taj said that contacts will be improved between the persons associated with medical field due to the agreement of cooperation between two hospitals and this cooperation will also be useful in future.
