IMF tasks Pakistan with power sector reforms

ISLAMABAD - The Officers Welfare Association of Quaid-i-Azam University condemning any propaganda aimed at vilifying the university resolved that a strict disciplinary action be initiated as per rules if any employee or group of the university maligns any officer in baseless allegations. The Executive Council of OWA in its meeting expressed deep concern and resentment over the recent derogatory campaign through press and pamphlets by some elements against the officers as well as administration of the university. The Council unanimously resolved, OWA shall ensure to safeguard the rights of its members and strongly condemned any effort made by any individual or group to vilify the university. If any employee or group of the University maligns any officer in baseless allegations, a strict disciplinary action may be initiated against him as per E & D Rules. It has not only defamed the University but also damaged the basic cause of Association and interest of the employees working therein. If anyone amongst employees has reservations / genuine grievances against any member of administration, he should route his request through proper channel for remedial measures rather than confrontation, the resolution said. The Executive Council of OWA also appreciated all the positive steps taken by the Administration to maintain peace, harmony and discipline in the interest of this prestigious institution / employees so for. All the members extended full support to continue such commendable efforts.
