MANDRA (Online) PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif Saturday warned the government to conduct transparent inquiry into secret memorandum scandal, or his party will take the case to the apex court. Speaking to media persons, he said that 'this was very serious and sensitive issue that could not be ignored, adding that if the government tried to hide facts in this case, the PML-N would go to the Supreme Court. He demanded formation of a judicial probe commission that should report within ten days. Nawaz suggested that retired judges like Fakharuddin should be given responsibility to inquire the matter and the judiciary should also be taken into confidence while constituting the commission. He expressed his disappointment over delay in Abbottabad and Saleem Shehzad inquiry commissions. Without naming Tehrik-i-Insaf, Nawaz said that secret agencies were backing a particular political party. He urged Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani should make sure that secret agencies are not interfering in the political system. The PML-N president said his party was not afraid of Senate elections, which was an important part of democratic process that must not be derailed. He hoped Senate election would take place according to the schedule.
