ISLAMABAD Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) Radio Pakistan will broadcast special programmes to mark 27th death anniversary of famous Urdu poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz today [Sunday]. Faiz had passed away on November 20, 1984. All FM and medium wave stations of Radio Pakistan will air poems and ghazals of Faiz Ahmed Faiz as well as symposiums in various chunks throughout the day to pay homage to the great poet. In Radio Pakistans famous Sur Sangeet programme, songs and ghazals of Faiz written for Pakistani films will be broadcast. Family and friends of the great poet are observing 2011 as year of Faiz centenary celebrations, who was born on February 13, 1911 at Sialkots Kala Kadar village.
