KARACHI (APP) - Director General Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Lt. General Muhammad Ijaz Chaudhry, has assured business community that Rangers will leave no stone unturned to curb the criminals across the board. Addressing the business community during his visit of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), he said no political affiliation is considered in this regard and criminals are treated as criminals which is vital to restore peace in the city, a statement said here on Saturday. He said in a democratic set up giving strike call is peoples right but using force to close markets wont be tolerated and those who were doing so had been arrested and jailed by the efforts of Rangers. The DG said that the example of some rangers officials who colluded with criminals were brought to book. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Businessmen Group (BMG) Siraj Kassam Teli said that the Rangers in Karachi created sense of protection among business community in particular and masses in general. He also appreciated the role played by Rangers to curb the lawlessness and crack down on extortionists. KCCI President Mian Abrar Ahmed addressing on the occasion said that after persistent actions of Rangers against anti social elements, situation has improved but he also warned that since Rangers stay is expiring soon, criminals are reorganizing and waiting for suitable time to restart their activities.
